SUPER GALERIE X JUAN DIAZ-FAES
"I try to create things that make people happy" - Juan Díaz-Faes.
Born in Oviedo, northern Spain, Díaz-Faes grew up drawing and has developed his career in graphic design, illustration, comics and muralism. Regularly collaborating with leading Spanish publications such as El País, GQ, Ling or Yorokobu. He was nominated as "Best Artist of the Year" at the Barcelona Comic Fair in 2013.
His work is defined by the use of patterns, compact and boisterous combinations of lines and color whose shapes evoke characters that, perhaps, observe us from afar.
Since 2017, cities such as Paris, Miami, Austin and Guangzhou have had large-scale murals signed by the artist. Díaz-Faes has exhibited alone at the Point Ephemere center in Paris and the Conde Duque Cultural Center in Madrid.
At Super Galerie, we really got inspired by all his work and decided to reach out to him in order to propose our first collaboration. We are glad to share with you the resulting Limited Editions and as Díaz-Faes often says, we hope they bring joy and happiness to whoever gets their hands on one of these pieces.

With this Edition, the artist talks about his relationship with the sea, with surfing and how it affects or conditions his work and his way of living.

PEZCHER 🐟
As a tribute to the well-known Dutch graphic artist M.C. Escher, Díaz-Faes decides to create this design. Curious thing about it is how it evolves from negative to positive. One fish goes from white to black, and the other one goes from black to white.
